The New York City subway platforms are not all that clean and they are the last place you expect to see someone performing art. Sure you will see someone playing guitar, drums, dancing etc., but it is always happening with a collection plate in front of them. There is nothing wrong with that, it takes a lot of guts and self confidence to put yourself on display. I find the platforms to be an exciting place to perform the spore box. I especially like the F train because of its wide platforms, with trains arriving on either side. This makes for a challenging set up of the box, trains arrive in the station blowing the sections of the object over forcing me to start over. An odd mix of people ride the F train which makes for very interesting feed back.
